The Downers Grove Golf Course hosts a variety of tournaments and events each year. Traditional tournaments at the Course include the Annual Pine Hollow Open and the Annual Bob Nelson Junior Amateur. The ever popular Ladies Nights continue to be a success offering a socializing, relaxation and golf in a pressure-free atmosphere. Upcoming Tournaments and Events

Pine Hollow Open
This tournament has been hosted at the Downers Grove Park District Golf Club for 34 years. Over 100 players participate each year comprising of males ages 18 and older. Bruce Swanson, Tournament Director, always has amazing prizes donated for this event. This year’s tournament will take place on Saturday, April 24th. Tee times start at 11:00am. Bob Nelson Junior Golf Amateur
This Junior Tournament has been hosted by the Downers Grove Park District Golf Club for 12 years. In memory of the late Bob Nelson, this tournament is sponsored and run by the Downers Grove Squires Men’s Golf League. The fee is $7 and includes greens fees, small bucket of range balls, prizes and lunch consisting of hot dog, chips & fountain drink. This year’s tournament will take place on Monday, June 21st. Husband/Wife Tournament
The 2nd Annual Husband/Wife Tournament will take place at the Downers Grove Park District Golf Club on Saturday, July 10th at 3pm. Last year’s event was a success with 12 couples participating. The tournament is a 9-hole Alternate Shot format for all couples. Cost is just $45 per team. For more information, please contact the Downers Grove Golf Club at 630-963-1306.

Junior Championship
This tournament features some of the best junior golfers in the area. It will be the second year for this event with the first year having 37 kids participate. The tournament fee is $35 which includes greens fees and lunch. There will be flights for kids 11-19 years old and are broken down by age and gender. Parent/Child Scramble
A great way to spend time with your young one, the 3rd Annual Parent/Child Scramble will take place on Sunday, July 25th at 1pm at the Downers Grove Park District Golf Club. Over 30 teams participated last year. The fee is $45 per team and includes lunch. The tournament is for kids ages 10-16 along with a parent. Firefly Open
Our most popular tournament is back for its 12th year! This nighttime golf tournament is for golfers ages 21 & over. The fee is $180 per foursome and includes greens fees, prizes, light sticks and golf balls. The tournament is scheduled for Friday, September 10th beginning at 8pm.
